Fire Protection for Ductwork

Knauf Insulation have rebranded their fire protection for ductwork insulation, the product formerly known as Pyroduct is now called Fire-teK. This product is a high-temperature-resistant mineral wool insulation board, which has an aluminium foil facing on one side.

Specialist Insulation Supplies are stockists of the Fire-teK slab and keep the product in both 45mm and 90mm thicknesses, with the board size being 1200 x 600mm.

Knauf Fire-teK insulation is specifically designed to be installed on steel ductwork and is certified and tested to be able to provide up to 2 hours of fire protection on rectangular steel HVAC ductwork.

Specialist Insulation Supplies (SIS) have this a product as a regular stock item, so it is available for collection, or we can deliver it direct to site. SIS also keep a wide range of ancillary products to go with this product such as Fire Protection Adhesive, Foil Tape, Lenne Screw Pins, and Pig-Tail screws.
